Heavenly Father, I come before you tonight seeking your protection as I prepare to sleep. I acknowledge that I am completely dependent on you for my life and strength, and I ask that you refresh me. I know that when I rely on my own strength, I am destined to fail, but I receive grace and mercy when I rely on you. Lord, as I reflect on the events of the day, both good and bad, I entrust everything into your care. I declare my trust in you and ask that you deliver me from evil and lead me in paths of righteousness. You are my hope, my help, and the lifter of my head. I ask for your protection over my life and my family, that you may keep us safe from Satan and his schemes, and that we may wake up in the morning energized and in good health. I surrender every aspect of my life completely to you, and I proclaim the kingdom of God and the authority of the Lord over my home and everything in it. No weapon formed against me or my household shall prosper, for you are my refuge and strength. I thank you for your promise that your peace will guard and protect my heart and mind in Christ as I pray about all that concerns me. Your word says in Psalm that he who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I declare that you are my refuge and fortress, and that I trust in you. I pray that you keep me safe in your secret place and deliver me from the snare of the fowler and the noise of pendulums. Fight all my battles, O Lord. As I go to sleep, I pray that you give me peace. Let your peace that surpasses all human understanding fill and guard my heart against all troubles of the night. Thank you, Lord, for showing me how much you love me. May the meditations of my heart be pleasing to you tonight. I am thankful for the good plan you have for my life, and I ask that you help me to obey and love you more when I wake in the morning. Put a smile on my face and purpose in my heart, ready to start a new day. I bless your name for the favor that has no end. Forgive me for sometimes forgetting that you are intimately acquainted with all of my ways, that you know what concerns me, and that you cover and shield me. I ask for your guidance so that I may walk fully into your blessings and goodness, and I pray that you make my way purposeful and my footsteps firm out of your goodness and love. Give me the heart of wisdom to hear your voice, and make me strong by your favor and grace. Amen. |
